What time should I arrive?

We ask you to please arrive a few minutes earlier or on time for your appointments so you get the best value for your payment. If you arrive late, we will end your treatment on time, though the treatment fee will remain unchanged. There will usually be another client after you and we need time to clean and sanitise after your visit. In order to make sure that the next client’s appointment begins on time, yours will end on time, even if that means you don’t receive the full length of time you have paid for. We have to be firm with this policy in order to keep it fair for all clients.
 
For first appointments for colonics, we require you to arrive 15 minutes early so we can go through some information with you.

Can I change my appointment time?

You must reschedule a minimum of 48 hours notice. All sessions are subject to our cancellation policy. All no-call/no-show appointments will result in the forfeit of payments.

If I change my mind or can not attend my appointment, can i get a refund?

All sessions are non-refundable unless required under the Australian Consumer Law. We do not refund for change of mind and all sessions are subject to the cancellation policy. All no-call/no-show appointments will result in the forfeit of payments. You must reschedule a minimum of 48 hours notice.

What do I wear?

Come along to your Wellness @ Wilston appointments feeling comfortable, in clothes that are easy to remove for your treatment. Tops and bottoms are better than dresses for colonics as you can keep your top on throughout.

What should I do before I come to my session?

Colonic clients eat protein and good quality fats 2 hours prior to your session to ensure blood sugars are stable throught your detox. Hydrate with at least 250ml of water to prepare your body for an increase in core temperature. Please refrain from applying oils, spray tan solutions or lotions to your skin prior to entering the session.

What should I do after my appointment?

Have something nourshing to eat, Usually a soup, stew or mild curry. Warming slow cooked foods are usually best, think easy digestible. listen to your body if you feel tired rest if you feel energised go move (just be careful of the wet farts) 💩💩💩

I am worried I will feel uncomfortable.

We’re aware that many people have never had a colonic or used a sauna before and the prospect could be a little intimidating. The reality is that they are both gentle and relaxing services however we always want you to feel completely comfortable. If you would like to visit the centre in advance of an appointment, we will welcome you. We would be happy to show you around and explain the equipment and the experience to you so that there are no surprises when you come for your appointment.

Does Colon Hydrotherapy wipe out my good bacteria?

Cleansing the colon using the Angel of Water Gravity-fed system will not wash away all the beneficial bacteria since they are safely nestled in the mucosal lining of the gut. Some beneficial bacteria may be lost during treatment and for this reason, we give you a dose of probiotic bacteria immediately following your colonic treatments. The sad truth is most people’s colons are quite overburdened with bad bacteria. By cleansing the colon, we promote the elimination of parasites, candida, and stubborn fecal matter, which then promotes an environment where the microbiome can get back into balance and thrive.

Will my colon become reliant on colonics or get lazy?

No, colon hydrotherapy is not habit-forming. On the contrary, one of the features of colon hydrotherapy is the toning of the colon muscles, which helps in maintaining and resuming regular bowel movements.

Can I still have a colonic if I have my period?

Colon Hydrotherapy is perfectly safe during this time, and may help decrease the cramps and the bloating accompanying menstruation. Every part that will come into your body is single-use and will be disposed of after your session.

What sort of Colon Hydrotherapy do you use?

At Wellness @ Wilston, we offer the ‘open system colonic’ which is a gentle, self-administered procedure where you are in complete control and enjoy total privacy for your visit. The Angel of Water colonic lounges our clients use are comfortable, safe, and completely and thoroughly sanitized with hospital-grade solution after every use.
 
On your first visit, we spend the first thirty minutes consulting with you about your general health, bowel habits, diet, exercise, and any concerns you may have. We explain to you the benefits of colon hydrotherapy and then take you through the use of the machine in the suite where you will spend your session. You’ll find our rooms to be very pleasant, with their own hand basins, wall-mounted TVs, dim lighting, extractor fans, and all you will need to enjoy a sanitary and relaxing experience.
 
The open system colonic is performed without an accompanying therapist. We are only moments away should you need any assistance or have questions and there is a doorbell right next to you to call.
 
Your therapist will show you how to position yourself on the colonic lounge and explain how to insert the single-use, disposable nozzle into your rectum. You will learn how to adjust the water temperature, flush the system and, after your session, clean yourself before getting dressed.
 
The Angel of Water system is gravity fed. Triple filtration warm water slowly fills your colon and throughout the session, you will feel the sensation to have a bowel movement we simply want you to gently push as you would when eliminating. You will expel the matter from your bowels and be able to watch it travel through the closed, backlit piping which transits it to the sewerage system of the building, just like a toilet.
 
Colonic clients love to see what they are releasing as it’s quite an analogy to releasing the stresses, worries, and fears we carry with us on a daily basis. As you are on your own in the colonic room, there is no need to feel embarrassed about any sounds, odors, or visuals, but of course, if anything concerns you, our caring staff are on hand to attend.
 
Your session will last for 35 minutes, at which time we will knock on the door before entering to have a quick chat and help you switch to the personal hygiene phase. Once you are dressed, we will discuss your colonic with you and answer any questions you may have.
 
The open-system colonic is especially valued by clients who may feel too self-conscious to have an operator in the room with them throughout the session, as with the closed-system colonic. All of our clients that start with the closed system and then come to try the open system say they will never go back to the closed system. That's my own personal experience also. Our Angel of Water colonic lounges offer quite a day spa experience, only instead of your outer body being cleansed, it’s your insides being beautifully cleansed.

I have a pre existing medical condition, can I use your services?

If you have any of the conditions below, you must call the clinic prior to booking your appointment so we can ask you some screening questions. These conditions are contraindications and we may have to look at alternatives.
